Apply For Financial Aid.
Financial aid is money to help pay for college or career school. Financial assistance is available to cover tuition, fees, books and supplies and even the costs of housing and transportation, for students at the Santa Cruz Center who apply and qualify.


Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
FAFSA stands for “Free Application for Federal Student Aid.” It’s a form used to apply for federal financial aid which can include grants, work-study, and loans from the government to help pay for college tuition and related expenses.
A grant is a form of financial aid that doesn’t have to be repaid unless you don’t complete your service obligation. Work-study allows you to earn money to pay for school by working part-time. A loan is money you borrow and must pay back with interest. It is important to understand your repayment options so you can successfully repay your loan.
How To Apply.
Submit your financial aid application and any requested documentation as early as possible to so that you know your aid eligibility before the payment deadline and so that you’ll be considered for the most aid.

Complete Free FAFSA Application
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Use Pima Community College’s school code which is 007266.
Review Student Aid Report
Your FAFSA results will be mailed or emailed to you as a Student Aid Report (SAR). Carefully read the SAR. If you find errors, make corrections online at fafsa.gov.
Finalize Your Documents
Once the U.S. Department of Education sends an electronic version of your FAFSA to Pima, view any requirements to your MyPima Financial Aid tab. The needed items will be indicated with a red “X”.
Check MyPima For Updates
Regularly check your MyPima Financial Aid tab, your Financial Aid Messages and your Pima student email account for updates on your financial aid status.
NOTE: Processing of your application may take two to three weeks from the date the Pima Community College receives your FAFSA and any other requested documentation.
