Pima Community College Electrician Certificate Program

In fall 2024, Santa Cruz County Provisional Community College District (SCCPCCD), Pima Community College (PCC), and South32 Hermosa (mining company) started work to deliver an Electrician Certificate program at the Santa Cruz Center. The 32-credit program will launch in the fall of 2025 with students completing the certificate program by summer 2026. 

Program Overview

South32 Hermosa is interested in hiring individuals who have earned the Electrician Certificate. Coursework requirements include electrical and building & construction technology courses as well as career and technical education classes in communication, computer literacy, and mathematics (Table 1). PCC’s Electrician Certificate program accepts individuals who have earned a high school diploma or GED.
