Santa Cruz County’s Center For Higher Education
The Santa Cruz Center is the only higher education institution with a physical presence in Nogales and Santa Cruz County. As a public Provisional Community College District, we offer a wide variety of higher education academic programs in Santa Cruz County through strong partnerships, including career prep, GED, two-year degrees, four-year degrees, and certifications.
Pima Community College and the University of Arizona Nogales are located inside our center, providing students with quality post-high school programs locally.

Students at Santa Cruz Center are preparing to be part of the region’s global economy with specialized skills that meet U.S. demands for affordable manufacturing and winter fresh fruits and vegetables. Employment opportunities follow the industry clusters, with distribution and transportation leading the way.
Career employment has emerged in a number of fields over the last 15 years in distribution and electronic commerce, transportation and logistics, construction and lighting/electrical equipment. Occupations that are linked to these fields include hand laborers and freight, stock and material movers, truck drivers, vehicle service technicians, hand packers, and billing and posting clerks, as well as specialized sales, logistics, supervisory and management occupations.
