Start Your Higher Education With Academic Advising.

Academic advising is a collaborative process that helps students develop educational and career goals. It’s a partnership between a student and an academic advisor who provides information and guidance. Some areas we’ll explore are:

Goals

Students work with their advisor to create a plan to achieve their goals.

Courses

Students learn about their academic and career options, and how to choose courses.

Resources

Students learn about resources available to them, such as support services and programs.

Progress

Students and their advisors regularly review their progress and make adjustments to their plans.

Referrals

Advisors can refer students to other people and departments on campus or in the community.

Graduation

Students work with their advisor to make sure they’re taking all the courses they need to graduate.
