The Region’s Hub For Higher Education.
The Santa Cruz Center is the home of the Provisional Community College District in Santa Cruz County Arizona. Working with a variety of partners, the Center is a regional hub for higher education offering a variety of pathways including a 2-year community college, the 4-year university, adult education (GED) testing, continuing education, physical facilities management including art displays, classrooms, student union, software and equipment, and community events all in one place.
Because of our completely unique position as the only Provisional Community College District, there are several overarching advantages that the Center offers: Locally-based programs, flexible hybrid campus, full service center, modern technology, small class size and binational community.
Unique Locally Based Education Programs.
There is a great need to train local talent so that our residents can take advantage of local employment opportunities in Santa Cruz County. To address these needs, the Santa Cruz Center and our partners work with local industry to develop degrees as well as training and certification pathways to support our local businesses and workers. Exciting new programs are continually emerging to prepare talent for local careers in healthcare, produce, agriculture, mining, manufacturing, the trades, and much more.

Flexible Hybrid Campus With Diverse Offerings.
As a Provisional Community College District, we naturally enjoy many partnerships with other organizations that yield more diverse educational pathways for you. Working with our partners, we offer Secondary Education Preparation, Noncredit Classes/Trainings, 2-Year Degrees and 4-Year Degrees.
In addition, our partnerships have led us to evolve into a hybrid campus that offers a combination of in-person and online classes to fit your schedule and your needs. Students at the Center have the flexibility of attending classes in person and online to accommodate learning around their schedules. Classes are offered during the day, nights, and weekends.

Full Service Center To Meet Local Needs & Challenges.
At the Center, we realize that many of our residents have competing needs with education. In fact, 68 percent of students work while attending college.
Whether those challenges are caring for family, attending to work commitments or budgeting for transportation and housing, the close-knit community at the Santa Cruz Center helps students get the support they need to engage and focus on their education and career pathways.
Quality resources are available to provide basic needs to help individuals overcome barriers, both inside and outside of academics. Partners at the Santa Cruz Center offer placement testing, advising, admissions, registration, orientation, and financial aid. A wide array of scholarships are also available to students through the Santa Cruz Center Educational Foundation.
Modern Technology, Small Class Size, Binational Community.








Students at the Santa Cruz Center accelerate their learning with modern, up-to-date technology in a modern setting. There are five computer labs available to students with over 100 computers, as well as interactive television classrooms, which allow students to take classes along with peers and instructors. Students have access to free printing services.
Class size at the Santa Cruz Center averages 24 students, and all classes are fully transferable. Transferred degrees are offered in the arts, business, and sciences.
