This page will guide you through the steps you need to apply to the Santa Cruz Center. If you are a new student, follow the five easy steps to register below. You will need to take a placement assessment test and attend a new student orientation.

You should have legal residency determined when you apply, prior to the time of registration and payment of fees. Your residency will determine your classification for tuition, and it is your responsibility to register for classes under the correct residence determination.

Complete the Student Release Form (PDF) to authorize the release of information to individuals or agencies, thereby waiving certain student rights established under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

Register in five easy steps

1) Apply for Admission

2) After receiving your acceptance/admissions letter, please visit the Admissions department at the Santa Cruz Center to adjust residency status.

3) Please request a placement test study guide at the Santa Cruz Center Information desk. This test measures student’s levels in the following areas: Sentence Skills (English), Reading Comprehension & Mathematics (Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra & College-Level Mathematics). 4) Meet with an Advisor for initial semester planning/course selection. To schedule an appointment with an Advisor, please contact the Santa Cruz Center at 520-394-7181.

5) Register for classes & request a student I.D. card at the Santa Cruz Center Student Services desk.
